I want off of this roller coaster

Today was not a good day at all. Charlie walked in the door about noon and he had been sent home from work. He lost his job. It really sucks after moving 3 hrs from home and only being here a little over a month. I know God has a plan for us and will provide. It just stressful and hard.

Fall Bug

Well, I guess my house is getting the fall bug. Luckily we got through the weekend and was able to have fun first. Amelia woke up barfing this morning. Now she is just congested. Poor baby girl. Hubby texted me from work earlier and told me he wasnt feeling good either. I hope they both get over it soon.

Next week is Halloween weekend and I can't wait. We are going back up to Vinita, for the weekend, to visit family. The kids are missing their Papaw and I am sure he is missing them. It will be fun.

As far as getting settled goes, I think we are pretty much there. We think we have found a church we like, now just to find some friends down here.

The Weekend

We had an awesome family fun filled weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better one. Friday after Daddy got off work we had dinner and then went to see " Alpha and Omega". The kids did pretty good and seemed to like it.
Saturday we slept in and then went to look at a few cars. After looking around for a while we headed on in to OKC for a birthday party. It was fun and the kids got to play with some other children. Then we headed to Bricktown and walked around. We stopped and Marble Slab and got some ice cream to share. I think the kids got more of it than we did.
Sunday we got up and went to church. We think we are going to like this one. It is just around the corner and has 3 different services. The kids even went on in without putting up a fight. We are going to try it out a few more times and see what we think. After church we went out to eat at Logan's. It was so yummy! Next we did some window shopping for Christmas. I am lost as to what to get the kids. Then we came home and took a couple hour nap. It was much needed. After naps we had a picnic in the park and played for a while.
That was honestly the best weekend we have had in a while. I love time with my little family.

We dont really have much going on around here. We do have a friend coming to stay the day Thursday and stay the night. I am excited about that! I haven't really seen her in a few years.

Came and Gone

Dana and her family came down on Tues of last week and left yesterday. It was so nice to have them here. I actually had someone to talk to besides the kids and the kids had someone to entertain them. The kids loved Dana and her family and I think Ivy kind of like me to. They got along rather well. Here are some pics from week.

Visitor

I am so excited! One of my friends I met on Cafemom is on her way to visit right now. Her and her family should be here in around 3 hours. I have met her before on our way through TX and her daughters are adorable. I will be sure to post pictures of her visit.

Settled In...

We are slowly getting settled in. I am really liking it here so far. We have slowly been getting the things we need and it is starting to feel more like home. Now all that is needed is some friends.

I do miss my church family back in Vinita though. I am really hoping we find some down here that are as encouraging and on the same path we are. I think we are going to check out a few church's around here Wed night and Sunday. Pray that we find one we like and that will help us grow.

Charlie has been at his new job for about a week now. He says that he likes it. It hasn't been quite what we thought it would be, but hopefully it will slow down soon. I know that it is a great opportunity for us and there is plenty of growth room for him in the company. I just would like to have my hubby home before 8 pm. I think once they get some more help in the company it will happen.

The kids are starting to get settled here also. They are beginning to get on a good schedule. Well, Amelia is. Eli is still having a hard time with it. He will get it soon. We are trying the potty training thing also. Since we have moved he has used the potty at least one time a day. Hey, at least it is a start!

We are moved...

We have gotten all moved in. We actually are living in Norman. I like it here so far. Charlie started his contract job yesterday. He said he likes it. He officially starts Wednesday. Hopefully we can get another car soon. I dont like being stuck here with out one.

Its been interesting here already. We didnt bring much with us so we still need a couch, towels, and stuff like that. That will have to come with the first paycheck though.
