This Weekend..

Well, Charlie's interview went well. They said they really like him and that it is between him and one other person. We wont know anything until after the first of the year. They are busy with the holidays and such.
We toured around the nearby towns and looked at a few apartment/townhouses. We have found a few we like. Just have to wait and see what happens.
We had a blast, as usaul. with out friends up there. Unfortunately they had to work most of the time we were up. Gotta make a living.

Christmas Past...

Christmas 2006

Christmas 2007

Christmas 2008

Christmas 2009

I thought I would post pics of Christmas since Charlie and I got together.

Its been a while...

Sorry it's been a while. My computer has been on the fritz and I can't get it fixed. Things have been pretty busy here lately. I don't think it will settle down until after January. I'll give you an update on everyone.

Amelia: Amelia is doing good. She is getting so big. She is still trying to let go and take off. Im sure she will be walking before we know what has hit us. She is jabbering alot also. She says a few words, that I can understand, here and there.

Elijah: Elijah will be 2 in less than a month. I can't believe how big he is getting. He surprises me with new things everyday. He can point to most of his body parts and count to three.

Charlie: Charlie has been pretty busy at work lately. He has a job interview in MO, Friday. I really hope it pays better and that he gets it. I am so ready to move. We have to much family drama going on around here and I am ready to get away for a while.

Me: I am doing good. Staying busy with the kiddos and school. I have a week and a half left and then I get a little Christmas break. Yay! I am been a little stressed and emotional here lately. I think my hormones are all out of whack. I am only have a period every 2 months. That really puts a damper on when to know when baby making time is.

MNO, Amelia, the weekend, and ect....

Moms Night Out was a blast. We went to dinner and then to see New Moon. It was very interesting. I had never done a camp out for a movie (and probably never will again). We had tickets for the Midnight showing and we arrived at the theater at 9. There was already lines of people. The 3 hour wait about killed me and then we had technical difficulties. The movie ended around 2:30 and I had to drive all the way back to Vinita(1 hr 15 mins), then get up early for Amelia's appt.
Amelia's appointment went well. They said that is should stop growing in the next month or so. He said that by age 4 or 5 that it should have shrunk as far as it is going to and then they will take out the left cells and extra skin. He wants us to come back every 6 months until then.He is concerned that it is in he saliva glands and she will have an MRI done in January. I guess we will go from there.
The rest of the weekend was pretty buys also. We went to Joplin and did some Christmas shopping and hung out with a few friends. Sunday, we went to Tulsa and hung out with some other friends and a little more shopping(actually it was looking for a toy that is sold out in ever store).
Today I got in a big fight with my mom and little sister. I have posted about them leaving there stuff lying around. Well, she was complaining and I told her about it. She got mad and said that it wasn't all theirs and so on. They left in a very mad state. She will either get over it or not. I can't take it anymore. Also, Charlie got an email about a job in MO again. It is one he was looking at before and they are hiring again. Hopefully we will get some good news about that. Keep us in you thoughts. The rest of the week will be spent cleaning, decorating, and spending time with family. (Oh, and catching up on my Bible study blog. You should check it out)

Stressed...

I am so stressed here lately. Amelia has been sick since Sunday. She has had a high fever and puking. We have been to the doctors twice and the ER once. They still haven't really told us what it is. They are leaning toward the flu and think the test just aren't picking it up.
On top of her being sick, we are broke. We have more bills to pay this month, then what will be coming in. Plus we have the trip to OKC tomorrow for Amelia's face. I dont know how we are going to pull it off. I will definately be praying to God for some help.
On a good note, A friend of mine is paying my way to go out tonight. We have had this planned for a month and I though I wasnt going to get to go. Thank you so much!

Amelia's Appointment

Amelia finally got a referral to go to the pediatric dermatologist, for the hemangioma on her face. We will be going to the OU Medical Park in OKC. It is set up for next Friday, Nov. 20th at 1:45pm. They will be discussing wether to surgically remove it or not. Wish us luck.

So Ready To Get Out Of Here.

Yesterday was one of the worse days of the year. I woke up to find my closet had water standing in it and my carpet was wet in the bedroom. I guess a seal around the toilet had busted or something. So we spent a good deal of the day cleaning up soggy stuff.
Then later that morning, I get a call from my mom saying someone called my cousin. Whoever it was told them to tell me that they were turning me into DHS. This is the second time they have done this. The first time I let it blow by. This time I am mad. I am trying to figure out who it is. If someone is mad at someone if my family, they dont need to drag my kids into it and especially threaten to have them taken away.
Hopefully we will move soon. Once we do, I am cutting connection off with all family besides parents. Its sad that a family has nothing better to do, than to threaten and gossip about each other. It will just be easier this way.

Now that I have blown some steam, I guess I will update you:

The kids are doing great. Getting bigger and bigger and getting into everything. Mommy is going crazy trying to keep them round up. I think Amelia is teething right now, so she has been a little fussy. Eli has definately hit the terrible twos and can through a tantrum when he wants to.

As for Charlie, He didnt get the hospital job. I am sad, but happy. It means we are at least not stuck here. He has a resume in at bank in MO and they said they are very interested in him. Lets hope they call soon. He also got a call from somewhere else saying they are interested in him, but we can't seem to get back a hold of them.

Me? I am doing ok. Trying to stay on top of homework and kids. They wear me out.

Halloween and Other Stuff

Well since I last wrote we took a vacation to MO, to visit some friends. It was a nice time away and to relax. We really needed that.

Charlie had and interview at the hospital, here in town, on Thursday. It went well and we should know something this coming week. I have mixed feelings on him getting this. It would be great if it pays more and gives him a more structured schedule. The only thing is, I want to move out of this town and if he gets it, we will be stuck.

We took the kids to the mall on Friday to do their thing. It was way too crowded and Eli was not a happy camper. He didnt want to keep his hat on at all. We wound up leaving early and not even making it half way through. Here are some pics from that:

Last night we went door to door in the neighborhoods. That went a little better, but Eli wanted to be held the whole time. Talk about an arm killer. They looked so cute though. Here are some of those:

Little Family Update.

Amelia: Amelia is now 7 months old. She is a little trouble maker already. She is pretty much crawling and can make it up the two little steps in our front room. She also stands in her bed, so we had to lower the bed. She is always such a happy baby and smiling.

Elijah: Elijah will be 2 in less than 3 months. (I can't believe it!) We are working on potty training with him. Most days aren't a success, but he is trying. He is a lilt cany aholic(Thanks to Grandma). He is really becoming a great big brother and Mommie's little helper.

Charlie: Charlie is still working at the Junction. Busy busy busy all the time. He applied for a job at our local hospital. He as an interview on Thursday(Wish us luck). Hopefully it pays a little more and he will actually have closer to a 9-5 job.

Me: I am still working on school. Not doing too bad. I having a drawing class right now. Its not my favorite class, but its ok. The whole family has been sick with some kind of cold/allergies, so that is what I have been doing.

Wednesdays for Wyatt

It’s official... Today is our very first post for Wednesdays for Wyatt! Thank you for coming over and participating.
It’s quite simple to participate. All you have to do is copy and paste this post on your blog, and come back here to link up with MckLinky! Once you do that, your all set to win this first ever Wednesday’s for Wyatt giveaway. Let make this a huge success, shall we?

For those of you who are not familiar with my family and what we are trying to achieve, here’s a brief run down...
Our son Wyatt was diagnosed with a fatal condition at our 18 week ultrasound, but chose to carry him to term. We waited to meet our son with love, all the time praying we would get to see him alive.
On June 1, 2009, Wyatt made his way into the world by c-section. To our amazement he had a faint heartbeat and was breathing! He died two minutes later, but I’ve clung to the two minutes my son and I breathed the same air since his passing.
Upon calling to get a copy of Wyatt’s birth certificate, I found out he was listed as a stillborn. You would assume it was a mistake (like I did), but there was no mistake. According to the definition of live birth in Tennessee my son was not “alive enough” to be deemed a live born baby. His two minutes of life has gone unrecognized by my state, and I intend to change this piece of legislation so I can solidify the validity of my son’s short life.
Wednesdays for Wyatt was created to help spread awareness for a law that needs to be changed, as well as to generate more traffic to my petition. So if you’re reading this, thanks for taking the time to help our family!
We are currently up to 1,253 signatures. Hurray! We’ve made it over my initial goal of 1,000 signatures, and now I’m dreaming big! You think you can help me get 5,000 signatures by Thanksgiving? I bet you could, and I hope this Wednesdays for Wyatt helps out tremendously. Post this to your blogs, facebook, myspace... wherever you can think of. I can’t wait to see how many more signatures we receive from this. I have a great feeling!
The contest will only be open today. You have until 11:59 pm to post this on your blog and come back here to link up with MckLinky in order to qualify for this Wednesdays for Wyatt giveaway. Good luck everybody and thanks for participating.

Wow what a month..

It has been super busy since I last wrote. We went to the dinner party on Saturday. It was very interesting. We listened to a guy named Dr. Young. It was a book release for his Bible translation. I learned some very interesting stuff. Here are some photos from it.

Sunday we went to our usual Bible study routine. It was great to get back. We had missed them

Monday and Tuesday were fair days. It was so much fun! Eli said look at everything. He was ecxited. We saw Mercy Me in concert on Monday. It was awesome. Tuesday we just walked around. I have some pics from that also.

Monday also started my new class. Its a Drawing class. Not really looking foward to that. I have no artistic skills in my body. I guess it is a learning expierence though.

Tomorrow we are leaving for Marble Hill, MO. Our friend Tim is getting married. I am so excited to see them! It has been a year and half. We will be there all weekend.

Thats about all for now. I told you it has been a busy time. Hope everyone is doing well.

Doc Day.

Amelia had a doctors appointment today for the hemangioma on her face. The doc said that is wasnt affecting her ear, but it was getting into a saliva gland.(wasnt a big deal though.) He said it should stop growing by 1, but that he has never seen one with such a big mass under the lil red dot. He is going to go ahead and send her to OKC to OU Medical to have it checked out. He said they aren't set up around her for that small of children. I guess we will see what happens then.

Waiting on the weekend.

Not a lot has happened since last time I wrote. The kids are getting bigger and we are staying busier.
I finished my second set of classes. Came out with a D in English(not so happy about) and a B in my computer class. I get a week break until my next class starts.
Last weekend we went out with some friends to the Hard Rock Casino. It was a lot of fun. I needed a night out with friends. We also helped a friend move on Sunday.(She is getting away from a not so good relationship.) This weekend should be a good one. Saturday we have an office party to go to in Tulsa and then Sunday is Bibles study!

The kids have gotten so big. Amelia is already trying to crawl. Eli sis doing pretty good with the whole potty thing. They amaze me with the new things they learn everyday. The fun stage is about to start, now that Amelia is almost mobile. They are beginning the fighting. Yay!

Thats about all I have to update on for now. Sorry we are so boring.

Not a lot to talk about...

Its been a pretty uneventful week. Nothing new has happened and the kids are good. How has everyone else been?

I Love My Crazy Life.

Wow! Since hubby has got back things have been crazy! Lets start at the begining.
Hubby got back late Friday night. On Saturday, my mom watched the kids and hubby and I went out on a date. We went to dinner and a movie and then to hang out at a friends house. On Sunday we stayed at home and reaarange furniture. Sunday evening we went to church and then Bible study. Monday we went riding with my mom and little sister to Eureka Springs, AR. It is beautiful over there. ( I will post some pics later) That was the weekend.
Early Tues. morning, about 4 am, Amelia woke up and when I went to make her a bottle and changer her, I notice a big knot on her head. As soon as the docs opened I called and they got her in. The doctor wasnt sure what it was, and sent us to the specialist that looked at her hemangioma. That doctor wasnt sure what it was either, but he was worried about her cheek. They are gonna have it removed on Oct. 1st. We decided that the knot still bothered us and that when hubby got off work, that we would take her into a bigger town to the ER. We got there and 8:30 and didnt leave til 1:30 am. They did CT scan, xray, and a flu test. Turns out she has Sinutitis and that the knot was fluid filled. They said that she must have bumped her head on the bed sometime in the night. (It has went down quit a bit already)
Wednesday was pretty uneventful and yesterday my friend came down to hang out. We had fun as always and Charlie fixed our car. Yes, my car is finally fixed!
What a roller coaster of a week, huh? Told ya it had been crazy.

Day 2 and 3.

Well, most of you read about the first part of the day. The rest of it wasnt too bad. The kids and I played most of it. Then around 9 hubby got on the computer and I was able to talk to him. We stayed up and talked til about 1 am. (Poor guy is probably pooped.)
Today my mom, the kids, and I are gonna go to Jopin and get some groceries. That will pass some of the time. Hubby should be home around 10pm. I can't wait! I miss him so much!

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Day 1 of hubby being gone.

It wasn't too bad until night. During the day the kids and I played and kept ourselves busy. It wasn't really until bedtime that it started to bother me. After I talked to him and we said goodnight I cried myself to sleep. I hate being away from him. As for today, its not going so well. It started of good. We got up and went to McDonalds for a play date. Eli had tons of fun. When we got home is when it went down hill.
I got home and I had been served papers from the bank. They are suing us for something that is their fault(long story). We have tried calling them to settle it, but they would never call back. So, I called my hubby to tell him about it. After I tell him he precedes to get on to my for calling and using up his boss's minutes. Sorry, I thought he would like to know.
I'm just having a bad day. My mom and lil sis are back to staying with us for a lil while. They wrecked the car and aren't supposed to drive it. There goes the getting on my nerves and not helping clean part. ARRRG! Plus, everything I try to clean, my son decides to dirty what I just cleaned. Is the work ever done?
Thanks for listening to me gripe. I will let everyone get back to their own lives.

Monday, August 31, 2009

Whats been going on?..

Not a lot really. We have been busy, but nothing interesting. I have been working on getting things together for Katie(Harley's mom), chasing kids, and working on school work. We did have a fun filled weekend though.
On Friday night, my mom watched the kids for us and Charlie and I got a night out. It was great. We went to eat(food was gross though)and then hung out with some friends. On Saturday we slept in and then that night we went to the drive in.(Went a lot better than last time.) On Sunday, we went to Joplin, to a little waterfall and then played at the park. Here are some pics from ...

Hubby is going to be on a business trip from Wednesday until late Friday night. I am not too happy about it. I am kind of scared. It will be the first time him and I have been away from each other since I turned 18. Also, we dont have a car and my mom is 15 mins away with no phone and my mother in-law will be an hour away. I just hope nothing happens.

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

My mind is reeling....

Every since I got that call last night from Katie my mind has been turning. I just keep replaying that phone call over and over. Then I think of all the things I should have said and it make me feel bad because I was nearly speechless. I think about how that could easily have been my child and how grateful I am to have them. Then all day today I have been trying to get flowers and money for Katie and respond to everyones questions.
On top of all this we are sick at my house. We are down with allergies. I am also stressing over school. My classes started last week and I don't have my books yet. Plus my hard drive went out on my computer. Its in the shop and I hope it gets back soon.
My mind is just on overdrive. I need to slow down and take a break. Maybe getting this out will help a little.

Read With Us

Please click the above icon to learn more about Read With Us and how it works.

This book reading is for In Faithfulness, He Afflicted Me by Lynnette Kraft.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again. 2 Corinthians 1:8-10

What do you think of these verses and how they relate to that line?

I think that if you trust in God you can over come anything. You must lean on him though.

Have you had any moments in your life where you felt really close to God?

Just yesterday I felt God was working his miracles. We needed a hundred dollars for Harley's shadow box. God led Lauren to donate that last amount. Then Harley passed at 9pm last night.

Heart Broken.

I am so heart broken today. A little girl the same age as my Eli has gone to see Jesus. I have been praying for her and her family and I followed her in her battle. Little Harley was diagnosed with Alper's Syndrome at 15 months. She was in the hospital most of the last 4 months. She he now home with her Heavenly Father. No more suffering and no more tears. RIP Sweet Harley, You will be missed.

So We Dont Forget

Topic: School Days - Tell us about a school memory from when you were a child - or school memories with your children. If you're a homeschooler, feel free to tell us something about your homeschool day (a special activity, first day of school, field trip, etc).

One thing that really comes to mind from my school days was in fourth grade. My friend and I both like the same boy(There is the begining of trouble.) She had told me this, so the big mouth that I was decided to spread the word. Well it made her cry and we got into a fight. They teacher took us out into the hallway and made us apologize to each other. We are still friends to this day and look back on it and laugh. Oh, what it would be like to have our only worry be a boy again.

Read With Us

Please click the above icon to learn more about Read With Us and how it works.

This book reading is for In Faithfulness, He Afflicted Me by Lynnette Kraft.

In this chapter Lynnette shared about Kyle's business venture and how it didn't quite work out as hoped. How many things in life don't go as we have planned? Are there things in your life you imagined different?

Nothing has gone as planned for Charlie and I since we got married. If so we would have a house bought in Tulsa. I would have my CMA and Charlie would almost be done with his degree. We do have the two kids, but that didnt go as planned either(Wouldnt change it though) I think we are exactly where God wants us to be though.

Getting Better

So, things are getting better. Charlie has decided to try another round of online classes. I am so happy and relieved. I was so afraid he was going take in class school and everything would go back to be being bad between us.

My first class is coming to and end. It wasn't too bad. I am looking forward to the next two. Pray that I do good in them. One is English and the other is Computer Literacy. I'm afraid I might struggle in the English class.

The kids are doing great. They are getting so big and way too fast. Eli is now 19 months and Amelia is 5. The doctor said Eli's ears are looking great. The thing on the side of Amelia's face is getting bigger though. She goes back for her 6 month appointment next month and they are going to talk about sending her to a specialist.

Charlie is looking for a new job, so that we can possibly move. We need to get out of this town and away from family. I think it will also help are marriage out a lot. Having family constantly at our house puts a drain on things and we never have alone time.

Well, I think that is about all for the updates. Hope everyone has a great week.

One Step Forward and Ten Steps Back

Just when things are starting to take a step forward, they make a u-turn.
I had the IUD taken out and was feeling so much better. Things were going great between me and the hubby.(Best it has been in a long time.) We had just discussed and agreed to start TTC for #3 and we were all happy for once. Then hubby decides to stop taking classes online and go back to in school.
I so dont want him to go back. I am so afraid everything will go back to how it was. It wouldnt be so bad besides the fact the he works full time already. When he goes to school he will be gone 3 nights a week on top of that. Plus its an hour drive to school. That means that he will leave and 8 in the morning for work, come home at 4 long enough to grab a bite and head out. Then he wont get home from school until midnight or one.
I have tried to tell him my worries, but he [thinks] he has a solution for everything. I just want us to be able to be a family. I feel like I am a single mom while he does school. I dont want him to miss out on his kids life. I just dont know what to do any more.

Left Out and Not Wanted.

Have you ever felt left out and like your not really wanted? That is exactly how I felt a week ago Sunday.

Let me start at the beginning.(Or somewhat the bargaining.) My moms house was getting foreclosed on and my mother in-law agreed to let her and my little sister stay at the farm house. I knew that was going to be a bad idea from the beginning. I was right
My mom had my uncle mow the yard out there with the tractor. We a few weeks later my brother in-law went over to the house to look for something and when they came back they said that my uncle had ran over the doors. I told them I didn't know anything about them and I didn't want in the middle of it. Well, the next day my mom came over and started complaining about it to me and was mad. Well guess what? I got stuck in the middle. This all leads up to last Sunday.

Sunday we were all supposed to get together for a big birthday party for everyone.(Including me) Since I never even got a phone call from anyone I figured that they would have cake and ice cream. Well I guess everyone forgot that it was my birthday also. No one said happy birthday or even really talked to me.

Then the guys went over to the farm house to check on tired. When they came back I over heard them talking about "Good thing they weren't stolen". That really upset me. My mom may have accidentally broke something but she isn't a thief.

Later that day all the girls(except me) went into the kitchen to look at jewelry my mother in law makes and sells. Everyone was offered a necklace besides me. Its not that I wanted a freebie. I probably would have turned it down anyway. It just would have been nice to be included.

The being stuck in the middle and left out thing still hasn't got any better and hubby just says he is sorry.
