Bring on the New Year

So, Christmas is over and New Year is just around the corner. We had a really good Christmas. It was spent with family on both sides. The kids got some really nice gifts and I got a really nice necklace and ring from my hubby and a very nice sweatshirt from my inlaws. Here are some Christmas.

In just one short week, my baby boy will be 3. Its has gone by so fast. It feels like just yesterday he came home from the hospital. He is having his birthday part at Chuck E Cheese. I can't wait. He is going to have a blast.

Waiting for the Weekend...

I can't wait for next weekend to get here. My kids are old enough this year to actually know how to open presents. I can't wait to see their faces light up when they open their gifts.

Thursday evening my mom, sister, and cousins are coming over and we are going to have dinner and open presents. Then Christmas Eve morning my mom, sister, and my little family are going to have a Christmas breakfast and open our gifts. Christmas day we will drive to the inlaws for lunch and presents. Its going to be busy, but full of fun and laughter. I love this time year!

Shortly after Christmas is my baby boy's birthday! I can't believe he is going to be 3. Seems like just yesterday he was born. It makes me sad. I dont want him to grow up.

Lots of Prayers are Needed!

Yesterday, I lost a cousin to cancer. He had been battling it for a year now. It was taken very hard by some of the family and they could use all the prayers possible through this hard time, especially since Christmas is just around the corner.

Also, yesterday we found out one of my great aunts was diagnosed with mouth cancer a few days ago. It is inoperable, because they say it will spread. On this day, another of my cousins told us she goes in for testing next month. They found a mass on her kidney and her liver is enlarged. They think it may be cancer, but in any case it is scary. Especially since her brother died a few months ago from kidney failure.

It has been a rough time for my family members this year. Please keep the in your thoughts. Thank you.

Christmas Parties..

Well, Charlie's Christmas party was a lot of fun. We went bowling and hung out with people he worked with. One of Charlie's childhood friends was their. Her hubby also works with Charlie. It was nice to catch up.
The only problem we had was the hotel. There was so much consruction we couldnt get around anywhere. Plus they didnt have any parking of their own so we had to pay $12 for parking. When went to crawl into our bed we found about 12 long black haird. Gross. Needless to say we called the manager Monday and they offered us a free night stay.

On another note. I just dont seem to be in the Christmas spirit this year. I dont know why. Our tree is up, but not decorated and I just dont have the energy to wrap the presents. I really need to get on the ball. Maybe it just has been all the moving and sick family that is dragging me down.

Flu Season

The only thing I hate about this time of year is the sickness that goes around. My poor family had passed around a bug all week. I think we are finally starting to get better.

This weekend is going to be a fun one. Charlie's company is having a Christmas party in OKC on Saturday. They got a hotel room for us and everything. We are finally going to have an evening to ourselves, thanks to my mom. Then on Sunday, we are hopefully going to meet up with Dana. She is going to be in Norman for the weekend.

Another note, Christmas is just around the corner, and I can't wait! My little ones are finally old enough to actually open presents. They have some pretty neat stuff this year and I know they will enjoy it. I also can't wait to see some family and cook dinner for them. Its going to be fun!
