When you think you have friend

I used to be so naive and though they most people were good, honest, true people. I have learned the hard way the past few years, that people aren't who they seem to be. I have had a lot of trouble finding true friends. It has become very apparent to me that this world is circling the bowl.

It is pretty sad when people you think are your friends talk behind your back and then bash you on a public forum. Its also sad that you don't know who are your real friends and who are just sticking around to spy and go back and tell what is being said.

I don't like being the person who has a cold heart because she doesn't know who to trust anymore. That's not me, but I am afraid its slowly becoming me. My heart is tired of being hurt by so called "friends" and my eyes cant bear no more tears for them.

I will continue to pray for those who have treated me like this and I continue to believe that God has something good planned out of all of this. I'm just not sure what it is now. I will continue to pray and try to keep believing that there are still some good friends out there. Hopefully God will bring some of those people into my life.

  1. I was recently having some unkind thoughts about people who have hurt me and as I was praying that night, was reminded of the Lord's prayer where we are asked to forgive our debtors. It isn't easy to forgive, but I am trying. I have noticed that sometimes on FB (has not happened to me, though) people can be catty toward one another. I don't know why people are that way, but you are right - God has something good planned for you.
